I just read "Murder Must Advertise" and am starting in on "Gaudy Night," which I've been saving because Tricia tells me it's one of her favorites. I like complex murder mysteries with compelling characters that were written, oh, 80 years ago. It's sort of fluff but sort of not. :) And I read a fantastic book last month called "The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating" by Elisabeth Tova Bailey: a lovely, lyrical story of a woman who, because of illness, has the time to observe the habits of a snail. It's beautiful. Oh, the world is full of good books!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03045464493512884287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466426288671990223.post-25355085252254232632011-10-30T17:58:04.995-07:002011-10-30T17:58:04.995-07:00The ones I recently read that I couldn't put d...The ones I recently read that I couldn't put down are Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson and If I Stay by Gail Foreman. Now I am pretty much at the end of my stack and need to replenish it tomorrow. However, Inheritance by Christopher Paolini comes out soon so there will be that. And I just got a gift card to Barnes and Noble, so I'm sure I'll find something.....Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06218102294061383247noreply@blogger.com
